Riley Cooper rejoined the Philadelphia Eagles today as the Eagles practiced with the New England Patriots and the Cooper situation went a whole lot better.
Everyone was great. Everyone was great. It felt great. I love being out there on the field playing football. That’s what I do and that’s what I love. It felt good to be out there with the guys catching and running and making some plays, and them coming up to you, supporting you, high-fiving you, chest-bumping you like Jason Avant did in the end zone when I had that TD. It just felt good to be back out here with all the guys.
Jason Avant said,
I’m always happy to see him. Sometimes our schedules cross during the day, in there, out there, and I get a chance to see him. I just treat him the same way. That’s what I do as a player. As a teammate. As far as our team, guys are definitely over it. We’ve talked. We’ve had dialogue. We’ve accepted his apology. The only thing he can do is apologize. What else can he do? When a situation happens like that, there aren’t too many things you can do but apologize and be sincere about it.
Patrick Chung said,
The situation is over with.
DeSean Jackson said,
Yeah he’s a friend. You know, so as far as whatever the situation is, it is what it is.
DeMeco Ryans said,
From our standpoint, it’s over with. As a team, we feel like we can get through anything. We talked about it like men and we’re ready to move forward.
