Howie Roseman is not messing around this offseason. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are doing their best to hand Philly the NFC East, and the Eagles are doing everything they can to take advantage.

Not long after extending DeVonta Smith with an incredibly well-timed deal (and driving up CeeDee Lamb's asking price in Dallas at the same time), the Eagles have made things even harder for the Cowboys.

Philly and AJ Brown have agreed to a massive new contract.

Eagles News: AJ Brown Signs Massive New Contract, Drives Up CeeDee Lamb Asking Price

The Eagles and AJ Brown have agreed to terms on a 3-year contract extension with $96 million, with $84 million in guarantees.

Brown is now officially the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL on a per-year basis. The $32 million average annual value (AAV) is tops at the position. This comes almost immediately after the Lions set the market with Amon-Ra St. Brown's $30,002,500 average. Behind him are Tyreek Hill ($30 million), Davante Adams ($28 million), and Cooper Kupp ($26.7 million).

The wide receiver market is absolutely exploding, and it's a super savvy move by Roseman to get his two superstars locked up for the near future before it gets any crazier.

Making things even sweeter, the Cowboys will have to make CeeDee Lamb the highest-paid WR in the NFL if they want to keep him around, and every new deal that gets done first just drives his asking price higher and higher. It's nice to contribute to that chaos.

The Cowboys opened the offseason as odds-on favorites to win the NFC East next year, but that has shifted now. Thanks to the big discrepancy in offseason quality, the Eagles are now tied for the top spot.
