The Philadelphia Eagles are surely still frustrated over the ending of the 2023 season. They appeared to be the best team in the NFL with a record of 10-1 but then things fell apart. They went 1-5 down the stretch then lost in the first round of the NFL Playoffs to Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Head coach Nick Sirianni was saved but he had to replace his offensive and defensive coordinators. The new coaching staff means he has no one else to blame — so this is a critical year for him. Thankfully, the Eagles have three picks in the top 53 so they'll have no issues finding talent. That's exactly what happens in this seven-round mock draft as they load up in the passing game while bolstering their pass defense.

Round 1, Pick 22: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

The secondary was a major problem for the Eagles last year and that will be the main area Vic Fangio focuses. While the new D-coordinator should help, they'll also need to bring in more talent. They wind up with a home run at pick No. 22 in this mock with Cooper DeJean from Iowa still available.

DeJean is just over 6-foot-0 and weighs 203 pounds. He boasts a muscular frame that won't allow him to be bullied. Experienced at safety and cornerback, DeJean could push James Bradberry from the moment he arrives. If Bradberry proves to be up to the task, DeJean would be an excellent third corner who also has value on special teams coverage units.
