Howie Roseman and the Eagles are nearly out of time to make any moves before the NFL's Tuesday trade deadline. They're rolling with four straight wins but to return to the Super Bowl, the front office may feel a trade is necessary.

DE Bryce Huff, who signed a three-year, $51 million deal in the offseason, was seemingly benched in Week 9 and could be on the move. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Huff is a player who would draw interest.

Considering his declining role and limited production, perhaps moving on from Huff makes sense for all parties.

Eagles DE Bryce Huff Named as Trade Candidate

"There certainly is going to be interest in guys like Bryce Huff, who was one of the Eagles' big free agent signings," Pelissero said. "Played all of six snaps yesterday (Sunday) after apparently getting his hand banged up in warm-ups or something. That's a name that I would think is going to get some potential action."

Huff has only 1.5 sacks this year after going for 10.5 in 2023 for the Jets. Even worse, he has only five pressures after notching 33 a season ago. Things haven't worked out, but perhaps he could still have value for another team.

That gives Roseman the opportunity to recoup some draft compensation as the organization looks to keep the competitive window open while paying their big starts, like Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith. Draft picks give you talent on the cheap. If Huff isn't playing up to his contract, cutting him loose is a wise strategy.

Otherwise, Philadelphia could wind up paying Huff a significant amount over the next handful of seasons. The situation doesn't appear to be getting any better, so the Eagles should act now while they have the chance.
