With training camp coming up in a few weeks, NFL teams are about to kick things up a notch. While the primary goal is to win it, which the Philadelphia Eagles nearly did two seasons ago, it all starts with building the best 53-man roster possible.

The Eagles understand the importance of depth since they did win a title following the 2017 season with a backup quarterback. That's why they'll leave no stone unturned as they trim down for the 2024 season. With that being said, there's a look at how their initial 53-man roster could look.

Quarterback (3): Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee

Jalen Hurts continues to be the face of the franchise but needs to play better than he did down the stretch in 2023. Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee make it as the No. 2 and No. 3 behind him.

Running Back (3): Saquon Barkley, Kenneth Gainwell, Will Shipley

The biggest offseason move for the Eagles was signing Saquon Barkley, who they stole from the New York Giants. He should bolster their running game but don't overlook rookie Will Shipley. He's been a weapon as a receiver during camp.

Wide Receiver (6): A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Parris Campbell, Ainias Smith, Johnny Wilson, Britain Covey

The top two receivers remain the same for Philly but they add Parris Campbell as the No. 3. He will have competition with rookie Ainias Smith and Johnny Wilson who also make the cut. Britain Covey is there for his return skills but could be let go if they need to go deep elsewhere.
