Eagles' Major Offseason Move Already a Complete Disaster After Week 2
The Philadelphia Eagles were feeling good after the Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers, but you know what people say the NFL stands for. Not for long. And on Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons, things didn't end well for Philadelphia.
The Eagles blew a six-point lead and watched as the Falcons marched down the field to take a 22-21 lead and eventually win the game.
The biggest takeaway was the Eagles' lack of pass rush, as they finished with just one total sack. A big-time addition for Philadelphia this offseason has failed to make his presence felt and it continued in this embarrassing loss.
Eagles News: Bryce Huff Already Struggling With Philadelphia
Bryce Huff was given a massive three-year, $51.1 million deal but has failed to do anything in Philadelphia.
Through two weeks with the Eagles, Huff has zero sacks, QB hits, hurries, TFLs, and solo tackles. He has only registered one assisted tackle. In addition, Huff has a 57.8 overall grade per PFF.
One clip on social media is circulating with Huff getting stonewalled by a tight end.
That continues to highlight a major problem that is hindering Philadelphia. The Eagles shipped out Haason Reddick in the offseason to the New York Jets and poached Huff in an attempt to replace that production. But through two games, it hasn't been brought to light.
The 26-year-old recorded a career-high ten sacks in 2023 with the Jets and needs to find a way to bring that production to the City of Brotherly Love.
Huff was already on thin ice with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio after Week 1 and his performance against the Falcons could have made it worse.
