The Philadelphia Eagles have another primetime game on the slate in Week 2. They have the Atlanta Falcons coming to town on Monday Night Football.

The Eagles picked up a win in the first matchup of the season over the Green Bay Packers and want to pick up another win against an NFC foe. This offseason, they spent a boatload of money to improve the floor of the team, but one prized defender already appears to be on thin ice with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio already.

Eagles News: Bryce Huff Needs To Do More According to Vic Fangio

When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Fangio said that defensive end Bryce Huff needs to begin separating himself from other edge rushers if he's going to play more.

In Week 1, Huff played in 30 defensive snaps (45%), which was behind Nolan Smith (31 snaps), Brandon Graham (32 snaps), Josh Sweat (41 snaps), Jordan Davis (35 snaps), and Jalen Carter (51 snaps).

Davis and Carter play along the interior, but Huff not getting more reps than Smith and Graham is telling. The Eagles gave the Memphis product a three-year, $51 million deal in free agency, but he had an underwhelming debut.

He finished with one assisted tackle but zero sacks, QB hits, and pressures.

If he wants to get more confidence from the coaching staff, he'll need to make an impact more as a run defender and get into the backfield as a pass rusher. Although Huff isn't known for being a stout run defender, he'll have to elevate that part of his game. If not, he'll be staying lower on the pecking order, no matter how much money he makes.
