The Philadelphia Eagles are focused on another primetime contest. The Eagles are hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football to wrap up Week 2.

They started off the 2024 season with a bang after they defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-29. Although they secured a massive NFC win to begin the season, some of Philly's off-season additions didn't have a great start.

And he blamed the field conditions at Corinthians Arena in Brazil for his lackluster debut.

Eagles News: Bryce Huff Adds That Field Conditions in Brazil Affected His Play

This past March, the Eagles gave EDGE Bryce Huff a three-year, $51 million deal. He was expected to be a contributor upfront in 2024 but didn't have a good start. The Memphis product finished with one assisted tackle but had no sacks, pressures, or QB hits. That was his first game that he didn't record a pressure, in which he played more than six snaps since 2021.

He added that the bad field conditions played a role. The 26-year-old said he changed cleats after the second quarter when he slipped during Jordan Love's deep touchdown pass to Jayden Reed. Huff stated that the field conditions "threw off the rhythm a little bit," and that it "should’ve been a sack" on a normal field.

"I just know the traction wasn’t anywhere as good as it normally is at practice. I feel like I left some production out there due to that, but besides that, I’m leaving it in the past. Onto the next one."

Bryce Huff

Regardless of how the field conditions were, Huff struggled to make an impact. He'll have another opportunity to showcase his talents against the Atlanta Falcons but he needs to impress defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to start getting more playing time.

Time will tell if the field in Brazil had an affect on Huff's performance.
