The Philadelphia Eagles lost a heart-breaker on Sunday to the New York Jets but even worse, they continued to suffer through several injuries.

They went into the game with Darius Slay, Sydney Brown, Jalen Carter, and Rashaad Penny already banged up. Then they lost Lane Johnson, Reed Blankenship, Milton Williams, and Dallas Goedert at different times during the game.

Philly won't try and make excuses but the injuries surely played a part in their loss. And if they feel any of these players could be out for an extended amount of time, it would be worth kicking the tires on these five trade possibilities.

5. Jaylinn Hawkins, Safety, Atlanta Falcons

A fourth-round pick in 2020, Jaylinn Hawkins was able to work his way into the starting lineup for the Atlanta Falcons by his third season. He started 16 games that year and had 84 tackles and two picks and felt as though he could continue to grow in his role with the Falcons.

Atlanta had other plans as they wound up signing free agent Jessie Bates. His arrival meant Hawkins would be headed to the bench in 2023. So far, he's appeared in all six games but has just three tackles while playing a mere 29 snaps on defense and 125 on special teams.

The Falcons are 3-3 so their season is far from over (especially in the NFC South) but they could still be willing to trade players such as Hawkins, who is on an expiring contract. If so, the Eagles might want to see if they can flip a late-round pick for a player with 22 starts in 48 appearances.
