Training camp is a massive grind for everyone around the NFL. Battles are happening all over the field for the Philadelphia Eagles, and a WR could be packing his bags soon based on how he's been playing in training camp.

GM Howie Roseman and the coaching staff will be making moves over the next few weeks until the season starts in September. And one took place on Tuesday, when the Eagles signed WR Ife Adeyi and decided to waive WR Danny Gray with an injury designation due to a finger, according to Dave Zangaro of NBCSPhilly.

Eagles Made Moves in WR Room on Tuesday

The Eagles signed Adeyi after the first-year WR participated in rookie minicamp in June. Philadelphia released him shortly after, but brought him back as training camp went on.

Adeyi went undrafted in the 2025 NFL draft after spending his college career at Sam Houston State. He finished with 64 receptions, 2,312 receiving yards, and 19 receiving touchdowns while also adding 306 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

After impressing the team last month, he now gets a chance to make the roster over the next few weeks. Last September, Philadelphia signed Gray onto the practice squad and signed a futures deal with the team in February. He has dealt with several injuries in his NFL career, and that once again came to bite him with this finger problem.

The Eagles have several receivers behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith who are seeking to make a stance in camp in order to stick on the roster. While some guys like Terrace Marshall Jr. are taking advantage of the reps presented thus far, not everyone has been able to do so.

Adeyi will have a shot to display why he was re-signed, and the next few weeks are a golden opportunity. Three preseason games have yet to take place, with the first one happening on Aug. 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Philadelphia also has a joint practice with the Cleveland Browns on Aug. 13 ahead of their preseason tilt on Aug. 16.

The coaching staff clearly likes what Adeyi brings to the table, and now it's up to him to put his best foot forward to make the roster.
