The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Champions again and even though the victory happened over two weeks ago, the glowing feeling that winning brings still hasn't gone away.

There's plenty to celebrate following the Eagles' 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, especially for a rookie like Jalyx Hunt. The former Houston Christian defender went from being a fourth-round pick to a Super Bowl winner in less than a year, putting him through a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

While celebrating his first major NFL achievement has been a lot of fun, Hunt recently revealed how one Eagles coach wasn't completely happy with his defenders' performance in New Orleans.

Eagles News: Vic Fangio Unhappy With Defense's Super Bowl Performance

In a recent interview with YouTuber "Pete Takes," Hunt talked about winning the Super Bowl and everything that's happened since the victory. The 23-year-old edge rusher mentioned how defensive coordinator Vic Fangio was unhappy with the team's defensive performance in the second half and let them know about it during a pre-parade meeting.

"(Vic) circles the second half, 'Unacceptable, 22 points,'" Hunt said about Fangio's feelings toward the Super Bowl's second half. "He wants perfection through and through... In order for the defense to work, he demands it from every level.

While Fangio's displeasure might seem uncalled for after a Super Bowl win, he has every right to be hard on the Eagles' defenders. Philadelphia went from keeping Kansas City off the board in the first half to being outscored 22-16 in the final two quarters.

Although a good chunk of the Chiefs' scoring came during garbage time, the last thing Fangio wants is for his younger defenders to develop bad habits. If that means going over Super Bowl footage one day before the parade, so be it.

Hunt went on to mention that while playing under Fangio seems intimidating, it wasn't that bad because he already considers himself a professional player and not a rookie. The Memphis, TN native made it clear that he can't imagine having last year's success if it wasn't for the Eagles DC's bluntness.

"Being around Vic Fangio, I'm set whether he's my coach forever or just while I'm with the Eagles," Hunt said. "I've learned so much from him in my first year. It's insane."

After beginning his NFL career as a project draft pick, it didn't take long for Hunt to carve out a role for himself with the Eagles. The 6-foot-3 defender's opportunities increased as the 2024 campaign went on, culminating in 12 solo tackles, two forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks, and a broken-up pass in 16 appearances.

Hunt went on to play a big part on the Lombardi Trophy run, tallying seven solo tackles and 1.5 sacks while playing important snaps on defense and special teams. By the time the smoke cleared, he finished his first NFL campaign with a 69.0 defense grade on Pro Football Focus — 42nd-best among 119 eligible edge defenders.

Even though his career is young, the future looks bright for Hunt. Look for Fangio to help his promising pass rusher reach his potential next season as the Eagles look to capitalize on their +650 odds to win Super Bowl 60 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
