Last week was a time of celebration for the city of Philadelphia following the Eagles' second Super Bowl victory in eight seasons. However, while players and fans alike enjoyed celebrating, the Eagles organization was undergoing some change.
Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore was hired as the New Orleans Saints' next head coach, leaving the team to search for a new offensive signal caller.
Nonetheless, head coach Nick Sirianni has been in this position in two of the previous three seasons. After the 2022 season, the Eagles lost OC Shane Steichen and hired Brian Johnson. However, Johnson ended up failing and was fired after the 2023 season.
Although Johnson was promoted from within the staff, he didn't have much experience calling plays. This time around, Sirianni promoted a coach with much more experience, Kevin Patullo.
Patullo's promotion meant Philadelphia had to fill its passing game coordinator position. On Wednesday, Tom Pelissero reported that the Eagles hired Parks Frazier as their new passing game coordinator.
The #Eagles are expected to hire Parks Frazier to replace Kevin Patullo as pass game coordinator, per The Insiders. Moving swiftly to remodel Nick Sirianni’s offensive staff (again) after the Super Bowl win. https://t.co/UhrgKoOH9X

Eagles Hire Parks Frazier as New Passing Game Coordinator
Frazier has been coaching in the NFL since 2018. The 33-year-old coach began as the assistant to the head coach in 2018 with the Indianapolis Colts and stayed as that until the end of the 2019 season. Then, in 2020, Frazier was promoted to offensive quality control coach.
In 2021, Frazier became the quarterbacks coach, holding that position until midway through the 2022 season. In Week 9 of the 2022 season, Frazier took over as the Colts interim offensive coordinator.
Under Frazier, Indianapolis's offense scored 57 points, had 989 yards, and rushed for 2,462 yards. Although the Colts ended with a terrible record in 2022, it was by no fault of Frazier's offense.
He was hired as the Carolina Panthers passing game coordinator the following season. While things didn't work out in Carolina, that can be blamed more on the organization than Frazier himself.
Frazier spent this past season as an offensive assistant in Miami under Mike McDaniel. Even though the Dolphins' 2024 season was not great, being part of McDaniel's staff was another great experience for Frazier.
Despite his young age, Frazier brings a wealth of experience, making this a great hire for the Eagles.
