The Philadelphia Eagles (12-2) go into Week 16 on a ten-game winning streak. Last Sunday, they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-13 and are close to taking over the top seed in the conference.

The Eagles will travel to play the Washington Commanders in an NFC East showdown. They matched up in Week 11, where Philadelphia won 26-18.

The Birds are going for the season sweep but there was some doubt that WR A.J. Brown wouldn't play, after head coach Nick Sirianni didn't give a clear answer regarding his status for the game. Brown popped up on the injury report with a knee injury but the star playmaker made it clear he will be playing against the Commanders.

Eagles News: A.J. Brown Says He’s Playing in 2025

Brown was approached by team reporters at his locker on Friday. When asked about his playing status, he said, "I'm playing."

The 27-year-old was listed as DNP for Wednesday's practice with knee/rest designation. He was limited in Thursday's session but Sirianni's answer during his presser cast some doubt.

Brown appeared to hurt his ankle after a hip-drop tackle against the Steelers but said it was fine after the game. This knee ailment is something new but the Ole Miss product will be on the field for the Eagles.

He missed multiple games this season with a hamstring injury but still leads the team in receiving yards (946) with 56 catches and five touchdowns.

Last week against the Steelers, Brown logged eight catches for 110 yards and one touchdown.

The Commanders are fourth in the league in pass defense (189.6), so having your All-Pro WR out there makes things easier for everyone else on the field.

The Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings all have a 12-2 record so the remaining three games are critical.
