Snagging a serviceable running back #2.

Even with Boston Scott’s electric performance this past Thursday night, the Philadelphia Eagles should still be in the market for a legit running back #2. Miles Sanders is battling his second injury of the season, and prior to last week’s win over the lowly Giants, Scott was having himself a pretty bad year overall.

With the team’s passing attack still pretty much in shambles, Doug Pederson would likely prefer to lean on the run game over the next couple of weeks. With Sanders battling some injury/fatigue issues, and Scott/Clement not being the greatest set of backups, an upgrade at the position should be in order.

Falcons backup Brian Hill was thrown out there by Jimmy Kempski (PhillyVoice.com), and he makes a lot of sense on paper. He’s a bigger back who can operate in short yardage situations, and Roseman likely wouldn’t have to give up a lot considering the Falcons 1-6 record on the year.

Other names like Jordan Howard and LeSean McCoy have been tossed around as well, as both have essentially been healthy scratches all season long for their respective teams. Lobbing a sixth/seventh round pick for one of these decent rotational backs is definitely a worthwhile investment.
