Jarrad Davis

Current team: Detroit Lions

Detroit’s first-round pick back in 2017, Jarrad Davis has essentially fallen completely out of favor with the Matt Patricia/Bob Quinn led Lions. His snap count dwindled all the way down to 11 this past weekend, and the team decided to not pick up his fifth-year option earlier this year.

Davis was pretty darn productive through the first two seasons of his NFL career, logging 96 tackles in 2017 and 100 tackles in 2018. He also recorded 6.0 sacks and 3.0 passes defensed in 2018, leading many to believe that he was destined for a breakout season of sorts.

Despite his promising start, Davis has failed to really find a stable role for himself in Detroit. Davis’ name has been floated around in trade rumors as early as training camp, and the Lions obviously aren’t very good right now. This puts them in prime position to offload players at a discounted price, and Davis would likely be a player that they would have no problem saying goodbye to given his impeding free agent status

With a sub-$4.00 million cap hit, it would be a cheap and easy fix to Philly’s LB woes. In theory, it wouldn’t cost Roseman more than a 6th/7th round pick either.
