4. Josh McCown

Even though Josh McCown retired this offseason, an opportunity to join a playoff-caliber team like the Eagles seems like it could work out well for both parties.

For a quarterback who recently turned 40 in July, some will argue that Philadelphia would be wasting their time with a player like McCown, but his experience alone makes it seem like this would be worth it for Philadelphia.

McCown’s career 23-54 record may seem like a huge concern, but also the argument can be made that he never exactly played for the best teams.

Don’t think so? Well just look at how McCown spent the final years of his career playing for the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets, making it easy to see why winning games was quite the challenge for the veteran.

Most football fans can’t even remember the last time that McCown was part of an actual contender, and if this were to somehow become a possibility, quickly getting back into football shape shouldn’t be an issue at all.

If anything, the Eagles should feel confident in McCown being able to catch up in no time since his experience in the NFL compared to other current players at the moment is on a whole different level.
