To start off let’s take a look at the Eagles roster and where they could use some help. At QB there’s the very talented Carson Wentz. As good as Wentz is he has spent a good amount of his NFL career on the sidelines, starting and playing in all 16 games his rookie season but going down each year from there with only 13 games in 2017 and 11 in 2018. These injuries can be an issue with Nick Foles signing to Jacksonville in the off-season. Leaving Nate Sudfeld and Luis Perez as the two back up quarterbacks.

Sudfeld has played a total of three games in his NFL career all with the Eagles with a stat line of 20-25 passes for 156 yards and one touchdown, leaving not too much to go by if he has to come in for an injured Wentz. Luis Perez is a recent signing by Philly from the now-defunct AAF team the Birmingham Iron where he started seven games (playing in eight) going 135 for 258 pass attempts, 1,460 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions. With a small sample size from the Eagles two back up quarterbacks it can be said that they will be expected to draft another QB later on in the back half of the draft.

One name the Philadelphia Eagles have been linked to is Easton Stick the North Dakota State QB that took over after Wentz’s departure from the school. Stick was able to bring NDSU to an FCS title in 2018 starting the entire year. He was able to pass for 2.752 yards, 28 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while completing 62.3 percent of passes. As well as being able to be a threat on the ground ranking third in the FCS with 17 rushing touchdowns. He also won the Walter Payton Award which is awarded to the top player in the FCS.  Even with all of this credit to Easton Stick NFL has him projected as around seven priority free agent. Expect Philadelphia to strongly look Stick’s way if he is available late in the draft like analysts predict. They would get a three-year team captain and starter and keep a strong link with North Dakota State and what should an already be a strong relationship with Carson and Easton.
