3. Damien Harris

Side note, if the Eagles do end up adding another Alabama running back to the picture for the 2019 season, Josh Jacobs is a name worth keeping an eye on since many believe he could even be the first player at his position selected, whether it’s the first or second round.

Unfortunately, Jacobs was dealing with a groin injury that prevented him from doing any drills in Indianapolis, but the good news for the Crimson Tide star is his teammate certainly made a name for himself.

Damien Harris was already considered a running back the Eagles were interested in since he seems like a good fit for Philadelphia’s backfield, and watching him display a 4.57 40-yard dash certainly stood out among other players at his position.

As mentioned before, part of the reason behind Philadelphia’s success during the 2017 season was due to riding the hot hand at running back each week instead of focusing on one individual.

Harris proved at Alabama he doesn’t mind splitting carries if it helps put the team in the best position possible to win games, and his patience along with a few other major strengths could certainly help the Eagles return to their effective level from the 2017 season.
