8 players Philadelphia Eagles could potentially re-sign during 2019 free agency

3. Jordan Hicks
Without question, one of the hardest decisions the Eagles will need to make this offseason involves Jordan Hicks, and whether it would be worth rewarding the linebacker with the hefty contract he’s expected to seek.
Over the last four seasons, Hicks has made a name for himself as one of the key defenders for Philadelphia, and is coming off a strong 2018 campaign in which he recorded 91 total tackles to go along with three sacks.
Hicks has already indicated he would love to return to the Eagles if given the opportunity, but as every athlete knows, the NFL is a business, and there are no guarantees contract wise.
Rightfully so, Hicks is expected to draw interest from numerous teams looking to fill a need at the linebacker position, and if there happens to be better offers from another team or two, this could easily prevent him from returning to Philadelphia for a fifth season.
The good news is when taking into consideration how great of a fit Hicks has been on defense, the Eagles will hopefully be able to work something out. Otherwise, Philadelphia’s best option could involve using the draft to potentially find a replacement since there will be plenty of candidates.
