7. Arizona Cardinals

Giving up on Josh Rosen after only one season sounds ridiculous for a team like the Arizona Cardinals, but also keep in mind this is exactly what they did with their former head coach, Steve Wilks.

Like most rookies, Rosen is clearly a work in progress, and there’s no guarantee he will even become the kind of quarterback the Cardinals need to return to their level from a few years ago as one of the contenders in the NFC.

Also, keep in mind that Arizona originally signed Sam Bradford to a hefty one-year, $20 million last offseason with the intention of him being the short-term answer at quarterback, meaning the thought of the team doing the same with Foles at least deserves consideration.

For all the Cardinals know, the best approach with Rosen could be to give him some extra time to develop by playing behind one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL like Foles instead of risking the chance of him continuing to struggle.

Then again, Kliff Kingsbury most likely came on board with the intention of having the opportunity to help the development process with Rosen after seeing all of his previous struggles as a rookie, which would mean the interest in Foles could seem slim.
