3. Dallas Keuchel

Similar to the situation with Bumgarner, Dallas Keuchel was another pitcher who was linked to the Phillies as a potential target in the offseason, although he would come through free agency instead of a trade.

Philadelphia is already fortunate to have a solid rotation led by Nola and Arrieta that should work wonders once again in 2019, but the addition of another pitcher like Keuchel could help this unit reach a whole new level.

Keuchel is another one of those pitchers with veteran experience who knows what it takes to win a World Series after playing a key role in Houston doing so in 2017. And while his 12-11 record from this past season may not seem like the most impressive statistic in the world, Keuchel still seems to have plenty of gas left in the tank to bounce back with a stronger outing next season.

Remember the version of Keuchel from 2014-15 when he won 32 games as a starter? Just imagine if the Phillies were able to get Keuchel to return to that level of play, as it would only increase their chances of making things a little more interesting in the National League to give them a better shot at competing with the top teams.
