14. Tennessee Titans

All season, the Tennessee Titans have been one of the most difficult teams to figure out since there will be weeks in which they look amazing, only to look awful the next. Even a few weeks ago, the Titans won two impressive games in a row against the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots before going on to lose two games in a row.

So which Tennessee showed up for Week 13? Despite the big win over the New York Jets to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Titans should consider themselves lucky for barely escaping with the victory in this one.

Watching Tennessee trail 19-6 at one point in the middle of the third quarter made it seem like they were about to dig themselves a deeper hole in the AFC playoff race. But thanks to the defense stepping up along with Marcus Mariota coming through on offense when needed the most, the Titans are still in it.

With a shorter week before Thursday’s meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee isn’t in a position where they can lose a battle like this one. Because if the Titans come up short, it’s going to be tough to imagine this team having what it takes to earn one of the Wild Card spots in the AFC.
