Don’t let your effort be questioned

Whenever a team loses by 41 points, fans and analysts are going to call into question a team’s effort and whether or not they quit in that game. It is another thing when players are calling out themselves and their teammates for their effort last Sunday, or lack of it.

Both Wentz and Malcolm Jenkins called the Eagles’ effort into question after last Sunday’s blowout loss to the Saints. Having two of your top players call into question a team’s effort is not a good sign.

On Sunday, we are going to learn a lot about this Eagles’ team. Last season they won which helped, but when Wentz went down they didn’t let it fold them and kept going all the way until the Super Bowl. Can they do something similar this year when faced with adversity?

This comes down to Pederson and the 53 guys on the Eagles roster. The season is far from over, but are the Eagles’ heads still in it, or are they already focused on the offseason? We are going to learn all of that this Sunday.

When the game is over this Sunday, will the Eagles have a new life or will the team have given up? It is going to be interesting and something worth paying attention to and we are going to see what kind of leadership this team has.
