2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to find ways to make statement wins, and the results of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars make it clear once again this is the top team to beat in the AFC. Heading into the contest, the Chiefs knew that Patrick Mahomes II would be facing one of his toughest challenges to date since the Jaguars’ defense has been considered one of the best in the league, but once again the young quarterback did just enough to help the team remain undefeated.

There aren’t going to be many occasions in which Kansas City ends up winning games when Mahomes fails to throw a single touchdown pass, but also this shows just how talented of a team Andy Reid currently has to work with. Whether it was the defense stepping up to make it a long afternoon for Blake Bortles or Kareem Hunt taking some of the pressure off Mahomes with a big day on the ground, this is just another example of the kind of talent the Chiefs have to work with, especially on offense.

Even if it was a shame to see Mahomes throw two interceptions after failing to record a single one over the first four weeks, all good things must come to an end at some point. And when taking into consideration that Kansas City is 5-0, this is what really matters the most.
