The Philadelphia Eagles saw a number of player departures after February's Super Bowl win as the team made some sacrifices for a more manageable roster. That being said, the replacements for those who left have already started to shine at training camp, with the likes of Moro Ojomo, Tyler Steen, and Jalyx Hunt emerging as early standouts.

Meanwhile, it's been tough sledding for a few members of the Super Bowl-winning 2024 Eagles who are in different homes for this upcoming campaign. Perhaps none have had it worse than veteran wide receiver Parris Campbell, whose 2025 prep just took another unfortunate turn.

Ex-Eagles WR Parris Campbell Out for 2025 with Season-Ending Injury

Campbell's season is sadly over before it even began. The Dallas Cowboys, with whom the veteran signed in March, placed the wideout on the season-ending injured reserve list Saturday. He went down with an MCL injury in practice last weekend, and it apparently is serious enough to knock the ex-Eagle out for all of the 2025 campaign.

This is a terrible blow for Campbell, who's struggled with injuries throughout his entire career. Despite entering the league in 2019, the former Ohio St. standout has played a full season's worth of games just once, and he's only hit double-digit appearances twice across six campaigns.

Though Campbell didn't contribute much to Philly's Super Bowl run, his simply being with the team (mostly as a practice-squader) the entire year and emerging problem-free on the health side helped give his stocks a boost. That likely contributed to him being quickly signed in free agency by Dallas, which needed supporting help at WR.

It remains to be seen if Campbell can ever put together a fully healthy season again. The results were incredibly promising during 2022 when he did just that, posting career highs across the board in targets (91), receptions (63), yards (623), and touchdowns (3).

That recent production will likely still get Campbell future looks, and having a Super Bowl ring on his resume certainly helps. However, another major injury for him is definitely going to make some teams write him off as an option for 2026.
