The Philadelphia Eagles will raise their championship banner to celebrate last season's Super Bowl run prior to their regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4.
While the ceremony to raise the banner will be celebrated throughout the City of Brotherly Love, fans hoping to see the event in person at Lincoln Financial Field need to be prepared to spend an exorbitant amount of money to get in the door.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the secondary market is already seeing prices for Philadelphia's home opener explode, as it is currently the most expensive average ticket price for any regular-season game throughout the league during the 2025 season.
Eagles-Cowboys Week 1 Will Cost a Pretty Penny
Those numbers certainly jump off the page at you when making decisions concerning which Eagles game fans attempt to attend. There will obviously be tickets available for below that cost but this just goes to show how the two NFC East teams can command the attention of the entire football world.
While pricing out loyal fans like this is certainly not something the franchise would like to do, it is part of how things work on the business side of things at the NFL level. Unfortunately, these prices will be too tough a pill to swallow for many Eagles fans who cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars to take in an event you'd likely have a better view of on television.
If there is one good thing to come out of this news, this price point should result in similar thinking for Cowboys fans. With Eagles fans as passionate as they are about their home team, having Dallas fans walk into the Linc and make their voices heard would not be enjoyable for Eagles fans and players alike.
Will you be one of the fans willing to break the bank to see the Eagles raise their latest championship banner?
