The Philadelphia Eagles have barely had much of a chance to soak in their Super Bowl 59 victory as the NFL offseason rapidly continues. The start of free agency cut the Eagles' celebrations short at the beginning of March, and the team's situation has only become busier since then now that the 2025 NFL draft is only two weeks away.
The Eagles' offseason experience also featured a retirement, as long-time fan-favorite pass rusher Brandon Graham retired after playing 15 seasons in Philadelphia. The 37-year-old defender had been contemplating retirement for some team, and winning his second Super Bowl title was the perfect way to cap off his career.
At least, that's assuming the former Michigan Wolverine stays retired.
Eagles News: Brandon Graham Hints His NFL Retirement Might Not Last
Graham was a guest on Wednesday's edition of FanDuel TV's "Up & Adams" show. During the interview, host Kay Adams asked Graham about his retirement, only for the ex-Eagles star to hint that he could return to the gridiron if head coach Nick Sirianni needs him next season.
"I'm 90 percent retired," Graham told Adams. "The 10 (percent) is how much I want to continue to train the way I'm training... I just want to go out there and speed it up to where I want to look good but make sure that I'm staying fit."

Graham also told Adams that other retired NFL players have emphasized the importance of staying fit during their post-playing days. The former 2010 first-rounder added that he will keep that mindset if it means helping him look good for any potential television appearances in his future.
The interview became more interesting when Graham revealed that 10 percent of him isn't done playing yet "just in case." Although he explained that he wants to be a man of his word, the former Pro Bowl EDGE sounded like he's open to a postseason comeback.
Adams asked Graham if the possibility of sacking Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes could lure him back to the game in January. After all, the allegedly retired Eagles defender failed to achieve his goal of strip-sacking Mahomes during Super Bowl 59.
"We ain't there yet but if it happens, we can say you seen it first," Graham told Adams.
It'd be interesting to see if Graham comes out of retirement for another potential Super Bowl run. Having said that, an eventual decision won't be revealed anytime soon, meaning Graham might quickly change his mind if the offseason grind is too much.
For now, Eagles fans can assume that Graham will remain retired until proven otherwise. The former Michigan Wolverines walks away from football after racking up 359 solo tackles, 76.5 sacks, 22 defended passes, and 11 forced fumbles in 206 regular-season games with Philadelphia, winning a pair of Lombardi Trophies with Pro Bowl and All-Pro second-team nods along the way.
And if Graham decides he won't retire, that doesn't mean his time with the Eagles is over. He previously expressed interest in working with owner Jeffrey Lurie to find a new role for him, whether that might be as a coach or in a front-office role.
Besides, Sirianni & Co.'s outlook is promising following Graham's retirement. The Eagles are currently FanDuel Sportsbook's +600 Super Bowl 60 favorite as the NFL offseason continues.
