The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting with a 5-2 record after they've won three games in a row. Since coming out of their bye, the Eagles have played good football.

A big reason for that was the return of players like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson onto the field. All three guys missed time due to various injuries and are now back in the fold.

Brown is the No. 1 pass catcher for this team, leading Philadelphia in receiving yards (408). Since returning in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns, rookie receiver Johnny Wilson saw his snaps get slashed.

While it makes sense that Brown and Smith are leading the charge in total snaps, Wilson being outsnapped by Jahan Dotson is a bit surprising. Back in August, Philadelphia traded for Dotson and gave up a third-round pick and two seventh-rounders.

Despite the trade compensation, he hasn't produced in 2024, even though he's logged 286 total snaps, the second most on the team. Dotson has six catches for 35 yards on the season.

As for Wilson, he was selected in the sixth round pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Florida State product stands at 6'6 and is known for excelling in contested catch situations. In his collegiate career, Wilson had 102 receptions for 1,757 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

While he only has one catch for nine yards in the pros, he has the skill set to produce in the NFL. It appears there are some things he needs to work on before being trusted into consistent snaps. The coaching staff decided to scale back his reps in favor of the three aforementioned receivers.
