Worrying Quote Emerges From Eagles Locker Room After Second Straight Loss
By Thomas Erbe
The Philadelphia Eagles dropped their second game in a row to NFC contenders after the Cowboys dismantled them on Sunday Night Football. These Eagles are, for the most part, the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year and they are not playing like it at all.
Something needs to be fixed or adjusted soon because player quotes are beginning to leak from inside the locker room out into the world. And they're not good ones.
Eagles Players Beginning to Vent Frustrations in the Open
Derrick Gunn of JAKIB Sports says he has texted with players inside the Eagles locker room and says they are "desperate" for something to change. He says that they are upset with how long it is taking plays to develop and when they do develop, the are easily sniffed out by the opposition. Ultimately, this is a recipe for failure.
Point the finger at who you want to, but there is work to be done to get this team back on track. It needs to happen soon, as there are only four games left in the regular season. The Eagles still have a game in Seattle against the Seahawks, a game at home against the Arizona Cardinals, and both division matchups against the New York Giants to play.
Despite losing to both the Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers consecutively, the Birds are still in control of their own fate when it comes to the number one seed in the NFC. If they win out, it is theirs. But one slip up could not only cost them the top spot, it could ultimately cost them the division.
