Bryce Harper Is To Blame For The Eagles Loss To The Cowboys

The Eagles were grounded for the second week in a row, thanks to the Cowboys and "their own" Bryce Harper.

Philadelphia Eagles fans spent their Sunday watching football, just waiting all day for Sunday night for the second and final regular season meeting between their team and the Dallas Cowboys.

They sat down with their food and snacks as Football Night in America was ending, seeing all those people pick the Cowboys, just salivating at the thought of roasting them after the Birds took over Jerry World for the first time in five years.

Then, all that came to a screeching halt thanks to a promo from "Philly's Own" Bryce Harper.

Blame who you want for the loss, but it all started with Bryce Harper cursing the Eagles.

After Carrie Underwood sang her lovely heart out, the next intro was a man walking away from the camera with a mullet while everyone in America was wondering "who's this Texas boy?" Turns out, it was Harper, somehow hyping the Eagles and fans up by starting with admitting he used to be a Cowboys fan.

What a start.

Then he called himself a Philly guy for life, which makes sense, considering he wants to spend the rest of his career in a Phillies uniform. To quote a couple text messages I received from a die hard Eagles fan, "Was there no one else? Loser vibes. We're gonna lose."

And sure enough.

There was not a moment in the game the Birds showed any advantage over the Boys. It was a second dismantling in a row at the hands of two NFC juggernauts. Losing this game is going to officially put the Eagles on "fraud watch" as the national media is going to question their ability to compete against the best in the league.

We can get into the X's and O's of it all, absolutely. There was just no good football to be found from the Eagles. But, there is an easy out available to them. The real fraud watch should be pointed to Harper as he doomed the Birds from the start.

And now, thanks to Harper, the Cowboys are right on the Eagles' heels in the odds to win the NFC.
