After edging out the New Orleans Saints, the Philadelphia Eagles will look for their second of back-to-back wins when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. The Buccaneers are aiming to bounce back after being upset by the Denver Broncos last week, meaning that the Eagles can't afford to take them easily.

The Eagles can use all the help they can get to defeat the Buccaneers to keep the momentum coming. Fortunately, that's exactly what Nick Sirianni & Co. received on Friday in the form of Tampa Bay's latest injury report.

Eagles News: Buccaneers Rule Out Antoine Winfield, Calijah Kancey for Week 4

NFL insider Greg Auman reported on Friday that the Buccaneers have ruled out safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) and defensive end Calijah Kancey (calf) ahead of Sunday's clash with the Eagles.

While nobody should ever want to see a player hurt, the fact that the Buccaneers will be without two of their top defenders is great news for the Eagles.

Kancey — the 19th overall pick of the 2023 draft — has yet to make his season debut as he's currently sidelined with a calf injury that dates back to training camp. The ex-Pittsburgh product finished 10th in last season's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting after tallying 19 solo tackles and 4.0 sacks in 14 games.

Meanwhile, Winfield has been sidelined ever since injuring his foot in the Week 1 opener. The Columbus, OH native set career highs in solo tackles (76), sacks (6.0), interceptions (3), and forced fumbles (6) while earning first-team All-Pro honors last year, proving just how much the Buccaneers will likely miss his presence this weekend.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay's loss is Philadelphia's gain.

The Eagles have playmakers who can hurt opponents through the air and on the ground, meaning it's up to them to take advantage of the Buccaneers' injury woes. A strong performance is even more crucial when you consider that Philadelphia has its bye in Week 5.

The good news is that the Eagles are projected to enter their bye week on a high note. FanDuel Sportsbook currently has them as the 1.5-point favorites over the Buccaneers in a game that is projected to feature 42.5 points.
