Sydney Brown Gives Encouraging News Regarding His Rehab
The Philadelphia Eagles have undergone a massive reboot this offseason after the 2023 season went out in flames. They have brought in new faces like Saquon Barkley and Bryce Huff. They also brought back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to help solidify the backend of the defense.
Safety Sydney Brown tore his ACL in Week 18 against the New York Giants but just three months post-injury, Brown feels good about where he's at in rehab.
Eagles News: Sydney Brown Ahead of Schedule in his Rehab
Brown said, "I feel great. I’ve been kind of in and out of Philly. I’ve been working out with the trainers at my home school in Illinois. (Senior athletic trainer) Jerome (Reid) and (VP of sports medicine/head athletic trainer) Tom (Hunkele) and the crew have been working real hard with me. I feel like I’m miles ahead of where I should really be. I will be ready for when the season comes around.”
This a great news, especially since Brown just tore his ACL in January. The Illinois product started in six games last year and showed some promise on the field as a rookie.
He logged 45 total tackles, three pass deflections, one interception, and one forced fumble. He also finished with a 62 overall PFF grade.
With Gardner-Johnson back in the fold, Brown will have a chance to pick his brain throughout the year.
We are five months away from the start of the season but the 2023 third-round pick is confident he'll be on the field in Week 1.
