The Philadelphia 76ers have been active thus far in the offseason after a disappointing end to their 2023-24 season.

Daryl Morey made it his mission to add difference-makers around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. So far he's accomplished that. They have signed Paul George, Andre Drummond, and on July 6 they added Caleb Martin to the roster.

Instead of staying content, the 76ers are being aggressive. It looks like they aren't done improving the roster and have their sights set on another player in the frontcourt.

76ers News: Sixers Are Interested in Trading for Dorian-Finney Smith

The Philadelphia 76ers have expressed interest in trading for Brooklyn forward Dorian-Finney Smith per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Finney-Smith is a smooth 3&D playmaker in the frontcourt. The 31-year-old plays relentless defense and has the length to guard multiple spots. The Florida product excels off the ball offensively and is a catch-and-shoot threat.

In 68 games with the Brooklyn Nets, he averaged 8.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot 34.8% from beyond the arc.

Finney-Smith is scheduled to make $14.9 million next season and has a $15.4 million player option for the 2025-26 campaign.

The addition of Finney-Smith would be an exciting option to have, as they completely reshaped their frontcourt. Having multiple athletic wing defenders goes a long way, especially with all the wings like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Giannis Antetokounmpo, OG Anunoby, and others in the Eastern Conference.

The 76ers have significantly improved this offseason but they may not be done just yet. And that is great news for the fanbase.
