Saquon Barkley Tempting Jason Kelce to Un-Retire
By Cem Yolbulan
The Philadelphia Eagles made a big splash in free agency by signing star running back Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants. The two-time Pro Bowler hasn't been able to contain his excitement ever since he signed in Philadelphia. So much so that, he already started recruiting only two weeks into the job.
The former Penn State star joined the Jason & Travis Kelce's show New Heights in an episode that was released on Wednesday.
When talking about how much fun the new season is going to be, the newly retired Jason Kelce said he couldn't wait to watch it.
Barkley had the response that every Eagles fan had going through their heads: "you don't have to just watch it".
Saquon Barkley Recruiting Jason Kelce Back To the Eagles
Of course Barkley wants to play along Kelce, one of the greatest offensive linemen of all-time. The continuity and experience Kelce would bring there is unmatched not only on the Eagles but in the entire league. His absence will certainly be felt as Philadelphia finds a new solution at center after 14 seasons.
Unfortunately, Kelce shut down Barkley's recruitment attempt.
"I’m not gonna come back, I’m not doing it."
- Jason Kelce to Saquon Barkley
Jason seemed very adamant about not coming back despite the exciting prospect of playing with Saquon Barkley. But, there is still plenty of offseason left. If the Eagles continue making big moves to bolster the roster ahead of the new season, you never know.
The Eagles are currently +750 to win the NFC and make the Super Bowl, only behind the 49ers, Lions, and the Cowboys. If you like those odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and claim your sign-up offer of $200 in bonus bets after your first winning wager.
