Potential Front-Runner for Haason Reddick Trade Emerges
The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the most active teams this offseason and they will still make moves over the next couple of weeks.
Linebacker Hasson Reddick was granted permission to seek a trade but nothing has surfaced yet.
According to Jake Rabadi, the Atlanta Falcons are a top suitor for Reddick's services.
Eagles Rumors: The Atlanta Falcons Have Emerged As The Favorite to Land Hasson Reddick
The Eagles wisely pushed back Reddick's $1 million roster bonus from Mar. 15 to April 1. That gives them more time to facilitate a trade and the Falcons could be a real option.
The Temple product's trade market hasn't been as robust as the Eagles would have hoped for which is surprising.
The 29-year-old has finished with double-digit sacks in four straight seasons along with 51 tackles for loss during that stretch.
The Falcons could certainly use a boost off the edge. Atlanta was tied for 24th in the NFL in team sacks (42). Additionally, they haven't had a player record double-digit sacks since Vince Beasley did so in 2016 with 15.5.
Reddick would immediately become the best pass rusher on that team but the Falcons need to be comfortable dishing out draft capital and a contract extension to bring the two-time Pro Bowler to town.
Philadelphia already has Josh Sweat, Bryce Huff, and Nolan Smith on the books for 2024 and Reddick is disposable.
Regardless of whether they keep or trade Reddick, the Eagles have one of the best teams in the league and own a real shot of reaching Super Bowl LIX. They currently have the seventh-best odds in the NFL to win the whole thing at +1600. Head over to FanDuel Sportsbook, claim your sign-up bonus, and take advantage of these odds to back the Eagles.
