Rivalries never end, even when it’s the middle of a long offseason, and Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni isn’t immune to the animosities.

Sirianni revealed Tuesday that he’s been having some fun taking shots at any Giants fans who have something to say.

"“You know, sometimes you see Giants fans around here, you know, being so close, and they give me a good, you know, like: ‘Hey, go Giants'. And I’d typically let it go, but if the guy gets me good enough, I’ll usually say, you know, ‘We got your best player.’"

Barkley Should Be a Fun Source of Ribbing This Season

Adding Saquon Barkley has to be a thrill for Eagles fans, but the smack talk could go both ways this season.

If Barkley struggles or gets injured, it’ll be a layup for Giants fans to roast Eagles fans about the signing.

But there’s much more upside here for Philly.

Barkley is the fourth highest-paid running back, and his $12.6 million annual salary could soon start to look like a bargain over the next three years.

Christian McCaffrey was just given a two-year extension on Tuesday, making him the league’s highest-paid running back at $19 million per season, and you can be sure that other deals will soon pass Barkley’s.

Even if Barkley doesn’t live up to his salary, there’s something special about taking away the Giants’ best player, as Sirianni clearly knows.

And it’s not like Philly fans will have to worry about New York being any good any time soon.

Be like Sirianni. Don't be afraid to remind Giants fans you have the better team -- and their former best player.
