The Philadelphia Eagles were one of the most aggressive teams in the league this offseason after a dreadful end of the 2023 season.

They made splashy acquisitions in free agency by signing Bryce Huff, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, and Saquon Barkley.

Despite the boatload of excitement surrounding the team and the organization, there were questions that needed to be answered.

The NFL opened up an investigation of a tampering case for the Eagles. They were being investigated for the contact they may or may not have had with then free-agent Saquon Barkley.

After a few weeks of diving into the case, the NFL has come to a decision.

Eagles News: NFL Didn't Discover Any Sufficient Evidence on Tampering Case

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the NFL informed the Eagles that they didn't discover enough evidence that warranted the Anti-Tampering Policy being violated.

The league reviewed phone logs, text messages, and additional documents regarding Philly's free agent plan and decision to sign Barkley.

In addition, the NFL spoke to Howie Roseman, Nick Sirianni, Penn State head coach James Franklin, and Barkley.

After all those conversations, the league decided there weren't any transgressions that went down.

That is a massive win for the Eagles as they can finally close the chapter on this case.

In 2022, the Miami Dolphins were forced to forfeit their 2023 first-round pick, a 2024 third-round pick for tampering with quarterback Tom Brady and coach Sean Payton on three occasions from 2019-2022. Team owner Stephen Ross was also fined $1.5 million.

Thankfully, the Eagles won't have to forfeit anything down the line and can now just focus on the upcoming 2024 campaign.
