The Philadelphia Eagles returned to training camp practice this weekend at the NovaCare Complex after wrapping up their second preseason contest against the New England Patriots on Thursday.

At Sunday’s practice, the Eagles coaching staff saw a couple of their starting offensive lineman leave the field early, which isn’t what they wanted to see after Tyler Steen went down with an ankle injury in Thursday’s preseason game.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Landon Dickerson was seen limping off the field with a trainer. Meanwhile, Mekhi Becton got banged up and had trainers looking at his right leg.

While we don’t know much about the severity of Becton’s injury, McLane reported a few minutes later that Dickerson seemed okay.

The Eagles cannot afford to lose Dickerson or Becton to injury as they are integral to the team’s interior offensive line success. Becton has been one of the huge revelations at training camp as he revitalized his career after being portrayed as a first-round bust with the New York Jets.

The former first-round pick has been an offensive tackle to start his career, but has made the seamless transition to right guard this offseason and has outplayed Steen. The Eagles hoped the second-year offensive lineman would win the right guard job, with Cam Jurgens taking over recently retired Jason Kelce.

However, that hasn’t been the case, as Becton has seemingly won the job in training camp after not playing in the Eagles’ last preseason game against the Patriots.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has any additional updates on Becton.
