The Philadelphia Eagles were in the news cycle all offseason. After a tragic 1-6 ending to the season after starting 10-1, the Eagles underwent a bunch of moves.

Before they made a flurry of additions in free agency and the NFL Draft, they had some key veterans who decided to step away from the game. Those two anchors were Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce.

Kelce decided to step away after 13 years in the NFL and quickly landed a gig with ESPN.

Even though the 36-year-old has only been away for a few months, he already revealed one way that he would come out of retirement to rejoin the Eagles.

Eagles News: Jason Kelce Says He Would Come Out Retirement For One Reason

Jason and his brother Travis Kelce posted a new episode on June 13 for their show "New Heights". On there Kelce said he would back out of his ESPN deal and re-sign with the Eagles if he became a minority owner.

It's been reported that owner Jeffery Lurie is considering selling a minority stake in the team and Jason wants a little piece of the pie.

He also joked that he may not be able to afford it but still would love to the opportunity.

Jason was a terrific leader for the Birds and let his play do the talking for him. Over his 13-year career, he was a seven-time Pro Bowler, a six-time First-Team All-Pro, and a Super Bowl champion.

There's no replacing a player of that status but the Eagles will have to chug along. Unless Jeffery Lurie is open to selling a stake to Jason. You know never. Crazier things have happened.
