Despite an underwhelming offensive performance in Week 3, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to escape with the win in New Orleans to go up 2-1 for the season. If it wasn't for the embarrassing fourth-quarter collapse against the Falcons, Philadelphia could easily be 3-0 heading into a relatively easy stretch of their schedule.

Nick Sirianni's offensive playcalling has been a major point of criticism among Eagles fans. The questionable decision to go for it at the end of the first half instead of kicking a field goal understandably received a ton of attention. However, the Eagles' general lack of offensive production, especially in the passing game, deserves as much focus.

One of the biggest reasons for the struggles has been the absence of their star wide receivers. AJ Brown missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and DeVonta Smith left the Saints game with a concussion. According to Eagles insider Jeff McLane, the star duo didn't practice on Thursday, officially putting their statuses in jeopardy for Sunday.

McLane added that both pass-catchers are "trending toward not playing" against the Buccaneers. This will create a ton of problems for Jalen Hurts. The Eagles have struggled in any game Brown doesn't suit up, including the wild card game against Tampa Bay last season.

If both players miss the game, Jahan Dotson has to have a larger role on offense but the new acquisition hasn't been able to find chemistry with Hurts yet. Britain Covey also landed on the IR list earlier this week, further depleting the rotation. John Ross was elevated to the active roster and Parris Campbell and Johnny Wilson will get more snaps but the offense will likely rely heavily on Saquon Barkley and Hurts' legs. Whether that will be enough to come away with another road win remains to be seen.
