Round 5, Pick 161: Nelson Ceaser, EDGE, Houston

At 6-foot-3 and 254 pounds, Nelson Ceaser was built to play in a pass-rushing outside linebacker role. That's where he will be for the Eagles, who take him with the first of three picks in Round 5.

Ceaser had 13.5 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks last year for the Cougars. He more than doubled his sack total from the previous two seasons as he was starting to put it all together.

A two-time team captain, Ceaser has more power than his build suggests. As a rookie, it would be hard to see the field with Bryce Huff, Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, and Nolan Smith on the roster but he could help them when Graham leaves in 2025.

Round 5, Pick 171: Kitan Oldapo, S, Oregon State

Kevin Byard was released this offseason after being added at the trade deadline. With him out, Reed Blankenship and C.J. Gardner-Johnson are the top safeties. Sydney Brown is a decent reserve but the Eagles need one more player they can depend on — which is why they add Kitan Oldapo.

The Oregon State product isn't getting the attention he deserves after putting up 74 tackles and two picks as a senior. He proved to be a solid coverage safety but was even better in run support. This late in Round 5, he could be a steal.
