The Philadelphia Eagles could see a lot of changes this offseason as they try to rebound from a disappointing 2023 season. The Eagles have already released a couple of vets in the secondary and saw future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce officially retire from the NFL earlier this week.

The Eagles might see Fletcher Cox hang up the cleats, which would be another significant loss. However, Philadelphia doesn’t have to worry about one veteran defensive lineman who wants to end his career with the organization.

Eagles Rumors: Philadelphia, Brandon Graham Engaged in Contract Talks

Derrick Gunn reported Thursday that the Eagles and veteran defensive end Brandon Graham are negotiating a one-year deal for his 15th and final season in the NFL.

It doesn’t come as a shock to see Philadelphia discussing a deal for Graham, who said after the Eagles’ playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that he wanted to play one more season with the team and make it his “farewell tour.”

The 35-year-old Graham signed a one-year, $5 million contract last offseason to return to Philly in 2023. The veteran defensive end saw his production dip this past season from 2022 when he had 35 combined tackles, 16 quarterback hits, 11 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks (career-high).

However, Graham only had 16 combined tackles, six quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, and three sacks in 2023. Overall, the former University of Michigan standout has had an incredible Eagles career, which includes 73 career sacks (fourth-most in franchise history).

If the Eagles and Graham can find a happy medium on a contract this offseason, it will give the team another vet that the young players will lean on.

Graham’s re-signing won’t drastically improve the Eagles’ odds of winning the NFC East (+135 on FanDuel Sportsbook) in 2024, but it will help the team stay in contention.
