Eagles Week 1 Opponent Might Have Accidentally Been Revealed
The NFL is looking to branch off and build the game internationally. They took a step forward and announced that the Philadelphia Eagles would open the season in Brazil on Friday, Sept. 6 as part of the 2024 International Games.
The game will be played in Sao Paulo and will be the first time in over 50 years that the NFL has played a game on Friday night of its opening weekend.
With the Eagles locked into that matchup, they have been waiting to hear who they will square off against. There have been rumors that it'll be either the Green Bay Packers or Cleveland Browns but a team president is hinting at his club being the selection.
Green Bay President Mark Murphy was speaking to the media before the team's annual Tailgate Tour and said, "We’re either the first- or second-most popular team in Brazil.”

Both organizations have high expectations for the 2024 year and believe they can contend for the Super Bowl.
