Eagles vs Dolphins Week 7 Opening Odds Are Surprisingly Optimistic

Week 6 did not go according to plan for the Philadelphia Eagles, who suffered their first loss of the season with a 20-14 defeat to the New York Jets. It was an ugly performance from the Eagles' offense as Jalen Hurts threw 3 interceptions and Jake Elliott missed a field goal for only the second time this year.
Philadelphia will try to bounce back at home in Week 7 against another AFC East opponent: the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have been the best team in the AFC so far at 5-1, making this a potential Super Bowl showdown between two star-studded rosters.

Eagles vs Dolphins Odds Week 7
Somewhat surprisingly, FanDuel lists the Eagles as slight -2.5 home favorites in their Week 7 opening odds on Monday.
The Dolphins arecoming off back-to-back blowout wins over the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers, solidifying themselves as one of the most dominant teams in the NFL this year. Their high-flying offense leads the leagues in both points per game (37.2) and yards per game (498.7), making them a tough matchup for any opponent.
Miami also boasts an impressive +67 point differential so far, outscoring opponents by an average of 11.2 points per game.
Philadelphia, on the other hand, has not been nearly as dominant. The Eagles have a +31 point differential, which translates to +5.2 points per game. Four of their five wins have been by single digits and, as mentioned, they just lost to Zach Wilson and the Jets.
Philly is 2-0 at home, however, while the Dolphins' lone loss came on the road, Miami's suspect defense also presents a good opportunity for Hurts and co. to bounce back, ranking 25th in points allowed per game and 20th in yards allowed per game.
The Eagles have enough talent to hang with the Dolphins, but they need to do a better job taking care of the football and cleaning up their mistakes this week if they want to win.
