It was a game to forget for the Philadelphia Eagles as they fell to 5-1 against the New York Jets. It was a tough game for a team dealing with a lot of injuries as the Jets' defense tok advantage.

They harassed Jalen Hurts all game and held Philly to just 14 points on the day — while shutting them out in the second half. That was enough for the home team to win 20-14 and the Eagles will now head home to prepare for the high-scoring Miami Dolphins.

Before looking ahead to that one, let's take some time to identify three duds while praising two studs from the Week 6 defeat.

Dud: DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver

Usually a sure-handed receiver, DeVonta Smith had a couple of drops in this one and didn't make the impact he's used to. His second drop came early in the third quarter as the Eagles were clinging to a 14-9 lead and ended up setting them behind on that drive.

On first down, Jalen Hurts was able to find Smith and the ball hit him in the hands. The former first-round pick did have to leap to the ball but it's still a catch he normally makes. This time though, the ball went right through his hands.

Philly ended up having to punt the ball away when Hurts was sacked on the very next snap, setting them up with a third-and-23.

Smith had five receptions on 10 targets with just 44 yards. The connection just wasn't there and it was part of the reason the offense stalled in the second half.
