Eagles Star Surprisingly Lands on Injury Report Ahead of Week 2

The Philadelphia Eagles started off the 2024 season in style, knocking off the Green Bay Packers 34-29, in a matchup that took place in Brazil.

Now they are preparing for the Week 2 contest on Monday Night Football as the Atlanta Falcons are coming into town. The Eagles have a stacked roster, but you know football is a physical sport. Guys will get hurt, and a star playmaker popped up on the injury report for Philadelphia.

Eagles News: AJ Brown Was Limited in Practice on Friday

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, wide receiver A.J. Brown was limited in practice on Friday due to a hamstring injury.

Zach Berman of PHLY added the Eagles' final practice of the week takes place on Saturday at 1:10 p.m. ET and will provide a better sense of Brown's injury.

The fact that Brown practiced in a limited fashion is a positive note, but soft tissue injuries are tricky. They tend to linger if not given the correct amount of rest. If Brown is able to suit up in practice on Saturday, that'll give the Eagles a good indication of his status for Monday Night Football.

The Ole Miss product picked up right where he left off in Week 1, racking up five receptions for a team-high 119 yards and a 67-yard touchdown grab.

Since covering off to Philadelphia in 2022, Brown has logged 199 receptions for 3,071 receiving yards, and 19 touchdowns. He's gone over 1,400 yards in back-to-back seasons and is the clear WR1.

If he isn't able to go, that would be a blow to the Eagles' offense, so Saturday's practice will be a big one.
