The NFL world is back in action! Training camps are in full swing around the league and the Philadelphia Eagles reported to the facilities on July 23 at NovaCare Complex.

The Eagles have one of the most talented rosters in the league and are looking to bounce back this season after a disappointing 2023.

The next couple of weeks is all about honing in on their skills but the Eagles made a surprising cut on July 25.

Eagles News: Philadelphia Released an Offensive Tackle

Per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles signed wide receiver Griffin Hebert and waived tackle Gottlieb Ayedze.

He was placed on the Non-Football Injury List on July 24 with an undisclosed injury. He signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent back in May.

Ayedze made 47 starts in 48 collegiate games at Maryland but he wasn't able to make an imprint of the roster.

Philadelphia has one of the top offensive lines in the league and has an abundance of offensive linemen on the roster.

Mehki Becton, Le'Raven Clark, Anim Dankwah, Fred Johnson, Lane Johnson, Darian Kinnard, Jordan Mailata, Brett Toth, and Laekin Vakalahi are tackles on the roster.

We all know that Johnson and Mailata are the two bookend tackles but there is stiff competition behind those two guys.

Ayedze starting camp on the NFI list didn't help his case of making the roster. The No. 1 thing for a football player is availability. Unfortunately for Ayedze, him missing time at the beginning of camp didn't have his case.
