The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-2 as they head into their Week 5 bye. They are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where they fell 33-16.

The Eagles were without multiple starters but their performance was unacceptable. At one point, they were down 24-0 and had zero yards of offense.

After the game, things continued to get worse. Darius Slay posted and deleted a tweet after fans criticized his poor play. Now a former Eagles legend is calling out the veteran corner.

Eagles News: Darius Slay Gets Called Out

Former Eagles offensive tackle Tra Thomas quote tweeted a post where Slay was on Micah Parsons' podcast "The Edge". That rubbed Thomas the wrong way and he called it out.

"Man! I couldn’t imagine Bobby Taylor, Troy Vincent, Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown or Al Harris going on Demarcus Ware’s MySpace Live show to discuss B Dawks performance."

Tra Thomas

Thomas played for the Eagles from 1998-2008.

The three-time Pro Bowl couldn't believe that Slay was talking to a division rival right after he had an embarrassing loss. He highlighted some key defenders who were on the team when he was there and said none of those would have ever go speak with DeMarcus Ware, who used to play for the Cowboys, to discuss the performance of Brian Dawkins.

But that's what Slay did with Parsons to discuss Chauncey Gardner-Johnson's bad performance on Sunday.

As an Eagles fan, I know it doesn't sit right to have one of your key defenders chopping it up with a divisional rival. Not just any rival but the biggest one!

Slay has rubbed fans the wrong way both on and off the field. Now former players are coming out to say the same thing.

The 33-year-old should use this bye week to reevaluate things and focus on winning. Not anything else.
