The Philadelphia Eagles made the biggest splash of the NFL trade deadline so far by landing All-Pro safety Kevin Byard. The two-time Pro Bowler fills Philly's most pressing need after injuries wrecked the secondary, bolstering the group that required the most help.

With safety addressed, some thought that could be if GM Howie Roseman. However, that doesn't appear to be the case.

The Athletic's Diana Russini, who previously reported on the Eagles' pursuits of a safety before the Byard trade, said on Ryen Russillo's podcast that Roseman "is not done, by the way." Russini notes people around the league claim Philadelphia's GM is very active on the phones ahead of the deadline, which could pave the way for another deal or two.

This is a little surprising considering many would say the Eagles are already a winner of the deadline by landing Byard. However, the team didn't give up much to acquire the ballhawk, so they have plenty of draft capital still available to pursue upgrades.

Given this team's championship aspirations, Roseman should leave no stone unturned ahead of the playoffs. There's several impactful veterans who could be had for the right price. Perhaps Philadelphia pursues an offensive weapon in the form of star running back Derrick Henry or wideout Jerry Jeudy to supercharge that unit after some early struggles.

Meanwhile, secondary help could still be used, too. Patrick Surtain II presents a splashy target who could not only improve the defense right now but also succeed Darius Slay and lock down a starting cornerback spot for years to come. Or the Eagles could pursue a smaller name to solidy depth with inexperienced players like Kelee Ringo and Eli Ricks an injury away from taking on bigger roles.

The thing with Roseman is, there's probably dozens of different players he's eyeing for his team as the deadline approaches. With him calling the shots, Eagles fans know to expect the unexpected.
