The Philadelphia Eagles are without their star wide receiver AJ Brown during Monday Night Football. They elevated Parris Campbell to the active roster and DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson will have a larger workload offensively. However, things took a turn for the worse for Eagles fans during the broadcast of the game against the Atlanta Falcons.

NFL reporter Lisa Salters reported that Brown will miss a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Eagles News: AJ Brown Will Be Out Multiple Weeks

This is a devastating blow for the Eagles, who play on the road against the Saints and the Buccaneers in the next two weeks.

Fortunately for Philadelphia, they have a bye coming in Week 5. This means that Brown will have an extra week to get his hamstring ready for Week 6 against the Browns. Considering how tricky hamstrings can be, that additional rest week could be very valuable in the long run.

Brown started the 2024 season by picking up where he left off. The star receiver finished the season opener against the Packers with five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.

This was the first game Brown missed since he was acquired by the Eagles in the 2022 offseason. The former Ole Miss standout played all 17 games last year and finished with 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns. Jalen Hurts has to learn how to play without his favorite weapon and needs DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson to step up in Brown's absence.
